An essential story that has taken too long to be written---a look under the surface at the origin and history of Fox News.

As a political consultant, Ailes repackaged Richard Nixon for television in 1968, papered over Ronald Reagan’s budding Alzheimer’s in 1984, shamelessly stoked racial ... More »

Unlike the Soviet and Chinese model where the media served the state, here we have a paradigm much closer to that of Goebbels, where the media sets the agenda for the party and in either case the end justifies the means;not exactly a journalistic virtue.

It is great journalism because finally somebody in the mainstream media has yelled out that the "fair and balanced" faux News, "has no clothes"! Under Roger Ailes Fox News is a "political campaign - a 24/7 political campaign " for the Republican and Tea Party! And this quote says it all : The result of this concerted campaign of disinformation is a viewership that knows almost nothing about what's going on in the world"....A study by the University of Maryland reveals "ignorance of Fox viewers actually increases the longer they watch the network". The author goves lots of verifiable evidence in the article to support these quotes and that Ailes goal with the network is not to reveal facts but to push right wing and often ... More »
