Well-written until the second to last paragraph, the headline is killer clever. Unfortunately, those who are willing to listen to a "stupid" preacher spin lies, are unlikely to be swayed by logic and history.
Insightful perspective about causes of Haiti's earthquake by author Christopher Hitchens, a left-wing columnist best know for his recent works in support of the "new atheism" movement. In this scathing opinion, the author lashes against Rev. Pat Robertson's suggestion that Haitians made a "pact with the devil" leading to this disaster. Hitchens makes a very reasonable point that geological causes are to blame, but uses unnecessarily offensive language to disparage his opponents. Informative read nonetheless.
