This article contains several glaring factual errors and is more of an editorial than reporting. There is no analysis of the proposed "land-for-peace" in the political/historical context. The idea that somehow Israel took land away from arabs is simply not supported by the evidence as is sited in the article. Jews began settling the sparsely populated region in big numbers in the 1890s, BUYING the land from Arab owners. Another factual error: "-made homeless during the 1947 war which brought about the Israeli state." The Israel was established in 1947 by the United Nations. In 1948, all five neighboring Arab countries launched a genocidal war against Israel. Arab leadership urged the Arab population of Israel to flee so as not to impede the genocide. They did flee in large numbers. The Arab countries, not Israeli policy, brought about the alleged homelessness of the groups now referred to as the Palestinians.
