While a more politically neutral, "just the facts" format would be better and lend full credibility, at least the story certainly offers many statistics and plausible background / explanations.

My god! I'm going to have to subscribe to Salon just so I can read Kamiya without the annoying ads. What a great piece. Made my day. I'm going to send the dang thing to my congresswoman. With statistics like this, maybe the Democrats will develop more confidence in their core values.

A nicely-written left wing opinion piece about the GOP implosion. A bit "light" relying too much on how polls are indicating substantive shifts away from the Republican views. As a non-American, I would have been interested in some discussion on how Bush's policies' have damaged America's reputation and economy.
