When I first read this story yesterday, I wrote the reporter to thank him for exposing Conseco. This is not the only fraud this company is responsible for, and I fell victim to another. I tried lawyers, the state insurance commissioner's office, phone calls, letters, filling out all the crazy paperwork they asked for--and finally got part of my money back. But it took years. I truly feel for the people in this article and think it's shameful our government has done nothing to stop the various frauds being committed by this company.
