competent sociological survey, as if Brooks' want, of why Trump sustains his notoriety. Good on his blue-collar alignment for he is the anti-elitists who says the brash ones, not the smart one, wins. Of course, Brooks is condescending and satire for that's who he is.

It is either the most revealingly negative fact of the GOP that so many are drawn to flash (like Palin) and not to substance (Romney, Pawlenty, like them or not). Or it is refreshing to have an upstart with fame take over the popularity, for his week in the sun, and act like a real political figure. That he chose birtherism is both testament to Trump's crudeness but also savvy about pushing a live wire issue. I say: he's no worse than Gingrich and won't have to steal as much,.
