WOW! Writing about the CIA's involvement in the Kennedy assassination! That takes some serious cojones. This is an exciting investigative article, really taking some risks by frankly challenging the power struggles at the top of the federal totem pole. McGovern dug through "coffee-stained notes" to get this story. The storytelling is gripping. Brilliantly written. But is it clear-headed enough for journalistic standards?

I just think it's good to stir the pot with stories like this. I'm not going to comment on conspiracy theories.

McGovern covers exactly the concern I have after reading Douglass' book. The Truman letters are new news to me.
