This outstanding episode of Frontline's "News War" series is a truly illuminating documentary on the rapidly changing news media landscape. I highly recommend watching the entire series, but particularly this episode, which focuses on the shift from newspapers to new media, and how business forces are threatening the civic mission of journalism. The program also chronicles in vivid detail the sad story of the LA Times and its new owner, The Tribune Company.
