The NPR interview of Rep Reyes is very informative in light of all the press on the CIA, the Bush Administration and the Vice President specifically.

I fear an over reach will go on and legislation will be put forward on the CIA telling all to the respective Intelligence Committees. Presidents have to be able to maintain control to a large degree; I feel that the none use of the Gang of Eight is the big error their advise and consent / council must be used. Is there a need for more investigations? You bet there is and I think Secretary Holder is correct to have stated there may well be an appointment of a Special Prosecutor. Events should be hot and heavy in the next weeks.

So, in a sense, they did violate the National Security Act. In my opinion, numerous times.
