As some 30,000 protesters overwhelmed the state capitol building in Wisconsin today, Democratic state senators hit the road, reportedly with State Police officers in pursuit. The Dems left the state in order to deprive Republicans the necessary quorum for taking a vote on Gov. Scott Walker's bill to strip benefits and collective bargaining rights from state workers. It's a polemic not a news story. And a poorly written one at that. While I completely agree with the thrust of the article, it contained too few supporting facts or sources to be considered a news report. For example he says, a Gov. Walker bill is a "business coddling initiative" but fails to include any info on how business is coddled.

Stan reports on the political fire behind the posing of the politicians. A strong view that contrasts with the mamby pamby mainstream right wing corporate press.

The war on workers that started with Reagan firing the traffic controllers has largely decimated organized labor in the private sector. Now the big money in the Corporation Owned Party (COP) is being spent to elect stooges to destroy public sector unions. This is a fight that is necessary for all middle class working and non-working people. These people are trying to destroy all unions and destroy working wages, jobs all to lline their own pockets.
