I think the writer took too long to reveal the new crib laws however this article does a great job covering the basis of the new crib laws and why they are so important. Even though the story includes a quote from Tenenbaum speaking to manufacturers in a key-note address it would have been interesting to read a direct quote from her.

It's relevant to parents, and this article gives decent depth and context to the issue. An expert, an activist, and an affected Mom are sources. Although this story isn't enterprising, it is informative for its audience. I recommend it.

Instead of pulling a wire story, the Sun should have reported on this ruling in terms of the B'More for Healthy Babies initiative, which has similar goals and would be more pertinent to their audience.

Although this story was written well it is very one-sided. It gives no opinion from anyone who might oppose rules like this (such as day care owners who have to buy all new cribs). The statistics were good, but this story seems to depend on emotion more than information.
