This isn't even remotely journalistic - and not because it's a hit piece - but because its not honest. The blogger's credibility is destroyed by the duel in the comments section of the article which is ever more interesting the article itself. Poorly written, contextually dishonest and driven by a grudge. It is actually silly.

Peilke apparently concedes metaphor or verbatim at his whim. Despite the fact that Krugman is clear about correlation - the author accuses him of pointing to causation and uses one single sentence of an article to describe the article. That's simply not acceptable.

This opinion piece is excellent journalism. It is based upon facts and includes a scientific chart showing how food prices have varied over the last 60 years. The author is an expert of climate and economics and thus stresses factual infotrmation in rebutting an ideological opinion piece.
