.a fairly thorough examination of the Angelides commission"s report on the causes of the financial crisis, putting the blame where it belongs.It could have gone into more detail on the rating agencies' role in the crisis, but Angelides' quote callling them a "cog in the wheel" sums it up nicely.

The report sounds solid. The reporting on the report appears to capture the essence of the debacle. If there is a criticism, the causes of the crisis is soft-pedaled. The political parties individually were not the prime culprits, the fault is in a system where big money buys shills to construct legislation to feed the greed of the American "up-yours" class.

Corporate power needs to be limited.

A good outline of the actors and (in)actions that led to the Great Recession. We're still far from being out of the woods. $23 trilion paper mache mask placed over banks' fetid loan portfolios may yet crack & expose us to a double dip recession.
