Why Larry Page Replaced Eric Schmidt

Eric Schmidt was supposed to run Google till 2024. So why did he suddenly decide to vacate the CEO hot seat in favor of Larry Page, one of the shy, genius techie co-founders of Google; the one who looked after product development and not investor relations; the one who even after 15 years of entrepreneurship at 37, looks at his Android device instead of the speaker at major Press Conferences?
