A logically constructed, clearly written blog post which plays out many scenarios trumpeted by media hysteria about the dangers of health care "rationing". Its conclusions make sense and dissipate the spin. Adds a thoughtful angle to the current health care debate (which is becoming increasingly thoughtless as certain stakeholders fear their profit margins will be cut and are resorting to fear mongering and disinformation).

When I read such an informative and unemotional assessment of a crucial issue, I contrast it with what I often have read in mainstream media outlets lately--some of them, and definitely NOT all of them. Why have "alternative" forms of media become increasingly popular? Because many readers want information that will help them make informed decisions about their lives, and it's becoming more clear which outlets are providing agenda-driven editorials instead of quality news pieces. Blogs continue to provide those viewpoints we need and want to hear.
