this isn't really a journalism piece, not even opinion. it's an announcement that by its ceo that google is working to introduce a new product for bringing more news, more efficiently to consumers, with he says, no adverse effect on news providers. it sounds interesting, but the story is diminished by the ceo himself describing and promoting it here.

Putting Googles point of view so prominently in the Wall Street Journal is a good place to launch a salvo in the Murdoch wars. Google has clearly defined its interests and is even advertising the product they believe is an example for the future of the business of journalism. The "Good Journalists" will now have some clear information of one side's arguments as they dig into the positions of both sides. What's wrong with that?
