Reverse Racial Profiling: The Stunning Success of the State Dinner Crashers

(Blog Post) Racial profiling cuts both ways in terms of poor law enforcement — the black & brown get harassed, brutalized, arrested and even killed sometimes just because they are black or brown and in the wrong place at the wrong time. But if you’re white (or white enough) and “look the part”, wow, you can get away with…almost anything because the popo is obsessed with beating people down on the other side of town. Full Story »

Incoherent rant claiming that 'reverse racism' allowed a white couple from Virginia to crash the White House State Dinner. The author offers little substance to back her points, which don't make much sense in the first place, and seem irresponsible to me. A textbook example of bad journalism.

This piece is slightly incoherent, and not well thought out. There seems to be an argument that racial profiling worked against the security of the President, but there's no concrete evidence is offered that the SS utilized racial profiling in securing the state dinner. Much more interesting is the linked piece explaining what law the couple could be charged with violating (Thanks Umbreen).

Because I am blonde-haired and blue-eyed , I have frequently been the target of the kind of resentment that author Jill Tubman projects. Usually it is American blacks (amost never African blacks) who assume that I enjoy "white privilege," and on four separate occasions, the first when I was 16, my "whiteness" has sparked unprovoked threats (twice with firearms), violent attacks and injury. Blames racism as a root cause of a problem rather than treating it as a contributing factor. When the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail mentality.

I not only want to see this couple charged under the protection of the President statutes, but I want to see some supervisors fired and investigated. This is one of the worst lapses of security in that not only was the president put at risk, but also the VP, forgien officials and high ranking US officials. The Bravo network needs to investigated and charges filed were warrantted.
