Good story. The impetus for continuing the gargantuan nuclear stockpiles of the US and Russia is laid at the feet of the "defense" contractors, in part. Obama's failure to cancel the proposed ABM system in Poland and the Czech Republic is also seen as part of the problem in US/Russian relations.

The idiotic ABM system needs consigning to the rubbish bin. Part boondoggle, part scheme to demonize Iran (by falsely portraying Iran as a "threat"), it causes the Russian elite to worry that the US sees Russia as a potential enemy. This absurd situation owes a great deal to the stupidity of the Bush administration and to the neocons.
