President Obama theorizes that a government "option" will increase competition, lower costs, and provide better medical care for larger numbers of people. In any scientific endeavor the veracity of a theory is determined by whether it is supported by empirical evidence and predictive of future outcomes. One thing is true on Medicare you have to fight for care, I have had first hand knowledge from caring for my own parents. I do not see things as Black as this article is. I pray that the numbers of uninsured to be covered will not be only the 13 as herein stated.
