President Obama theorizes that a government "option" will increase competition, lower costs, and provide better medical care for larger numbers of people. In any scientific endeavor the veracity of a theory is determined by whether it is supported by empirical evidence and predictive of future outcomes. Isn't it interesting that other nation's experiences with an entire people joining to insure one another and how well it has worked is not even mentioned. Instead there is a careful manipulation of certain facts and approaches to reach a desired conclusion.
