Krugman finds way too many congress critters willfully ignoring science because it is in their short term political interest to pretend destructive carbon emissions from coal and oil are causing no harm. Krugman points the finger at the congress critters, but does not continue to solutions to the situation, other than awareness.

Publicly financed elections would blunt the influences of corporate coal and oil companies.
