Perhaps my own status as a political activist and freelance journalist is biasing my opinion, but the arrest of a citizen for photographing a parade is particularly disturbing. The author manages to capture details and bring in opinions of the State Public Safety Commissioner and the Hartford police Chief. The most obvious deficiency is presenting the view from the prosecution. Additional context would also improve the story, although people following the related stories have a pretty full context.
An interesting viewpoint into a facet of the "War on Terror" - if, by that, one means the creeping clampdown on dissent. The police's side of the story is presented but is contradicted by statements of witnesses and generally seems riddled with holes.
