This story would be stronger if it mentioned the scores of thousands of mercenaries employed in Iraq that are in addition to the 130,000 US troops.

The US should have pulled its troops out entirely by the end of this year. The continuing squandering of hundreds of billions of dollars on this idiotic adventure is a travesty.
