This article makes a tenuous assertion based on very little evidence. The two sources cited are both anonymous, and the oblique reference in Atyatollah Khameinei's speech doesn't prove anything. If a letter was sent, we have no idea what it might contain or if it is relevant to the latest events in Iran. This strikes me as weak journalism overall.
