It is a major contribution in the debate about Iran, and Anne Applebaum's arguments are convincing. I consider this high quality journalism.
Anne Applebaum rightly points to one of the main factors in the Iran conflict: The place of women in Iran's society. Can gender equality be reached in a Islamic society where men decide and women are supposed to obey them? Must women accept that men demand in the name of God that one has to follow their rules?
