This is a monumental event for this nation to begin the healing process of race relation. It should begin with the leadership setting the example for the nation to follow.

Slavery, segregation, and the Jim Crow laws have had a horrific affect on both blacks and whites in this nation. Forgiveneness is aways the first step in the healing process of resolving humam relationships and establishing harmony. Ostracism and apathy toward race relations have too long been a part of the fabric of this nation. This event from congress could be the beginning of resolving race relations in this nation. The leadership has set the moral example for the rest of the nation to follow.
