The Return of Idealism

(Blog Post) I have been struck over the past few days by the response of American pundits to the events in Iran. I cannot remember the last time that there was such a clear consensus across the political spectrum that one side in an internal political dispute in another country deserved our unabashed support. Every publication from The Weekly Standard to The Nation seems exhilarated by the prospect of Iranian liberals standing up to the theocrats who rule their country. Full Story »

Good Lord. Just actually uses the Georgia-Russia war analogy without irony, failing to note that, in fact, Georgia started that war and has a leader not nearly as liberal as his supporters would like us to think. He also ignores the U.S.'s long, ignoble history with Iran. Not recommended.

This site is perhaps the most thoughts provoking forum for solutions seeking in this troubled world. however, the site is still riddled with lots of hot air that are blowing to nowhere. I read the first paragrapph of Richard Just's article on idealism and Iran. Reading the firs paragraph of his article, titled " the return of Idealism, is enough for me to indicate another bolow of hot air in the globall ills and harmless to powers that are calprit in commiting them to this world. ...
