Having served with the Peace Corps for over three years in South Africa and Zambia, neighboring countries to Zimbabwe, I witnessed some of the repression, desperation, poverty of the Zimbabwean people as they fled their country. While other governments must qualify the financial support to Zimbabwe to assure it does not go down the drain in Mugabe or ZanuPF coffers, financial aid and loans are an absolute necessity to begin to provide jobs and income and medical services to the people. This is an humanitarian crisis.
