ProPublica is a significant player in this debate, which makes it interesting, but also leaves me wondering about their bias in the matter. Linking to other news sources that have also covered this story would lend them added credibility. The economic impact of added regulations aren't expounded on, and it's unclear why.

Investigation where the owners of the facts deny the existance of the facts is difficult, but well done here, There are multiple links as a sidebar for those so inclined.

The petrochem industry has been one of the worst poluters habitat destroyers in the last century, They have always maintained that everything they do is safe, and they are liars par excellence. Big tabacco could have taken lessons from the masters.
