the counterpoint to the ' right's' cries of 'terrorism' ,by pointing out the possible path to the shooting at fort hood, this writer goes on to a strong argument about the destructive effects/consequences of the wars in iraq and afghanistan. the effects on u.s. muslims of these wars and how islam is often portrayed in the u.s. is discussed as part of the argument. the arguments are cogent, and come from the 'liberal' point of view he mentions early in the piece.
