as Obama himself seemed to acknowledge, his speech won't have a shelf life of more than a few days unless it is accompanied by real policy changes. Obama indeed needs to act, and telling Israel it must get out of the West Bank and the Golan Heights is a good starting point. Pulling all US forces out of Iraq (including scores of thousands of mercenaries) asap would be another good move. Normalizing relations with Iran and Syria would also make excellent sense.
