The answers revealed that President Obama is not opting for the politically safe path and continues to lead with reason - irrespective of decades of political patronage surrounding this issue - which for the most part - has fueled the controversy. American special interest groups will have to elevate their commentary in the future or face obsolescence if they are simply willing to sing the same old song. Supporting Israel should be more than pandering to the American Jewish vote. Israel is complicated and complex nation that is split on the issue of the West Bank. Most of the American press pussy-foots around the issues for fear of stepping on a philosophical land-mine or getting blind-sided with facts that aren't in general play in the American press; while politicians sound bite their way through their terms of office with a perfunctory support for Israel with an apparent glaring void in their cache of facts - expressing 'Support Israel' as political punctuation much like Dick Cheney uses 9/11. It appears the dialog will begin to include actual data and Mid-East politicians and US politicians better start understanding the dynamics of the region and its impact on the US with more diligence and less fist pumping, which has heretofore, only yielded an indifference to facts and encouraged a blind eye. Which side does one take in hexagon?? What signifies a win and for whom? It would be nice to get the regional parties back to the table instead of observing death being tossed back and forth over dividing walls.
