Ms.Razzi points out in this timely, if not too realistic, article, that person's making good money, although they have to work harder with longer hours, will have their dreams fulfilled in an economy that's going nowhere fast.

I would agree with the author, but she doesn't mention having children, raising children and sending then off to college, This has to be part of the equation, if you have kids, that is.

Its always good to put a face to what otherwise are dull statistics

In place of 'reduction in standard of living' put 'reduction in use of the worlds resources' because that is what this economic recession is resulting in. You might even substitute 'reduction in production of garbage and pollution".
