For the most part the article tells the story clearly. The reporters leave out an important part of this story who is actually supporting and paying for this lawsuit. Olsen is no liberal or gay supporter. He is being paid as is Boles to fight this fight. The American Foundation for Equal Rights the same people who were behind the Harvey Milk movie are paying for this lawsuit.
Proposition 8 was very deceptive in its presentation to the public. All of the money was spent in support of the measure and little if anything was spent to defeat it. This proposition passed because of heavy advertising it will take a similar effort to reverse it with another opposite measure.
