I just got back from Meet in the Middle--a statewide rally for marriage equality, held in Fresno--the middle of California. Gay and straight people from all over the state congregated to rally for this next bastion of civil rights. I wish I'd read this story before I went. I plan to share it with people I know who helped organize the event because it presents a unique and useful perspective.
As a straight person, my perspective on this is necessarily somewhat limited. But, as a political activist, it makes a whole lot of sense!
