Most people fail to realize that for the last century or so we have had a duel marriage in the hetero community, the marriage in the church is not recognized as legal but the sworn statement on the license is the govermets recognition with the minister acting as both a state and religious official. It is a property right that is being denied to a large segment of our population. Ministers that have performed marriages without the proper paperwork have never been prosocuted except on the case of poligamy as long as they do not attempt to register the marriage .
