Good story, making clear Israel's current leadership regard US demands to stop the growth of illegal settlements in the West Bank, to be just so much hot air. Ditto with American demands the siege of Gaza be terminated.

Israel will destroy itself if it fails to get out of the West Bank and the Golan Heights. The question is whether Israel will take down the US too. The insane level of "defense" spending by the US owes a very great deal to Israeli political power in Washington, and at least $1 trillion has been squandered on unnecessary wars intended to help "protect" Israel.
