A bit self-serving, but there are good insights here about NPR's two-part series on health care costs. It says what anyone, liberal or conservative, *should* already know: partisanship oversimplifies the issues at stake in health care reform.

When in doubt about your own arguements, make it seem like the opposition supports your position. This is simply a hatchet job dressed up.

a problem with this story is its obvious bias illustrated for example, by the use of "obamacare" to refer to reform bills. also it's not clear what information here has come from the npr programs it cites, and which the writer added or deleted which may have been important in the issues he covers. there is some information here which seems relevant, such as third-party payer costs, but not enough.

not good unless you are a GOP or insurance co. NPR is also run on the GOP fear mode. These folks know that Dem'S will not use Anti trust law to make insurance fair....NPR and NRO won't say why
