The Post quotes several strategists and a collection of Senators, Republican and Democrat, in an attempt to sift through the political posturing and figure out how the GOP will approach Sotomayer's confirmation hearings. The paper was largely unsuccessful. The more revealing quotes came from a Republican consultant and an unnamed source.

a fair but sparse report of the relatively low-key characteristics of the congressional republican response to the nomination of judge sotomayor. i wish more had been said of the non-congressional conservatives' response.
