I believe that white America's embrace of Obama is a virtually unalloyed good. It's good because Obama is a dynamic and exciting candidate who is offering not only a racial truce but also a fresh and progressive take on many issues. Interesting perspective on race, although I don't think they should extend it to Obama. Let him tell us what he thinks about being mixed-race. Being half black seems very different from being half Asian in this country.
