This excellent article tells the real story of what's happening in Afpak. Mindless civilian deaths, pointless and preventable deaths that make the population hate the west.

We can only hope that Clinton's statement that they are going to rebuild this country are true.

Putting a human face on the atrocities of war and how they change the hearts and minds of the locals, who in the end are the ones who will sufer the conclusions of the war.

These were the same arguments we heard in Vietnam, maybe this time someone will listen. It is time to draw down, turn over and pull out.
