Pro-internet piracy party on course for EU seats

The Pirate Party, a single-issue Swedish group that campaigns to encourage internet copyright infringement, is on course to win several seats in the European parliament.

"The plan is Sweden, Europe, the world. In that order," said Christian Engstrom, the Pirate Party's top candidate. The Pirate Party received 8 per cent in the poll and if the trend continues it will take a number of seats in Brussels. Full Story »

Solid article on an interesting topic.

I'm fascinated to see if this gets anywhere. Copyright law is fundamentally broken, but taking it head-on from with-in and outside of the system is an interesting approach.
