U.S. state labor markets less dreadful in April

More than 20 U.S. states registered decreases in their unemployment rates in April, and another 11 had no changes, according to data released by the Labor Department on Friday, a reversal of the trend in recent months.

However, jobless rates were higher in all 50 states and the District of Columbia than in April 2008.
