Very fine encapsulation of stunning collective idiocy of the US public in supporting an insane level of "defense" spending matching the rest of the world combined.

This story underlines the astounding ignorance of the American public, and the continuing squandering of trillions of US tqaxpayer dollars on useless or unnecessary weapons and wars. Thanks to Israel, the US may well get another war in the Middle East, for the purpose of facilitating the continuing oppression of the Palestinians by the Israelis. Israel helps supply the propaganda for the continuing squandering of hundreds of billions of US taxpayer dollars in the Middle East and Central Asia. With an "ally" like Israel, who needs enemies?
