by James Canning - May. 21, 2009

Weak opinion piece, and a part of the continuing anti-Iran propaganda put out by the Israel lobby. The author takes it as fact that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons when there is no evidence the Iranian government even wishes to have them. The author's contempt for the efforts to control arms spending in the wake of the World War I catastrophe, is palpable.

Kissinger and Shultz are quite right to urge substanital reducitions or even outright elimination of nuclear weapons. In the Middle East, the focus should be on pressuring Israel to get rid of its nuclear weapons.
