Brooks is always fair and intellectually honest. This column is no exception.

I enjoy the fact that Brooks occasionally provides book reviews in this column. As usual, he has brought a new text to our attention which takes as its focus a matter of current cultural import. Is there an explanation for the managerial fecklessness that has emerged in the current economic crisis?
