Not very deep, but a well explained report on the likely shift in auto industry dominance from the United States to China.

This article seems to reinforce the ideas that the outlook for (a large part of ) the American manufacturing base (i.e. the automotive industry) is bleak, and that China is a huge threat (in no small part due to Detroit embracing alliances).
