Pakistan is not about to be taken over by the "Taliban" because the Pakistan military and political elite wont let it happen; just like they wont let true democracy happen nor change their self-defeating attitude towards India. When the "Taliban" threatens their hold on power and not just the American effort in Afghanistan, then you will see the vested interests react.
