It presents a Pakistani human rights advocate's view of the conflict between military and civilian, domestic and foreign (American), radical militant Islamic and moderate influences. As such it's not a black and white view of the type often found in Western news sources.

I seem to remember that Pakistan was intended by its founders to be more secular than it is now. Perhaps there is a lot of emphasis on these conflicts in Pakistan only because of its geographic proximity to Afghanistan - because these kinds of conflict are going on all over the world, including here.
