To find analogies for the collapse of the housing bubble and the subsequent credit crisis, we have to search not our memories but our textbooks. Two experts in education and sociology provide answers on how to help children and their school communities survive this economic downturn. Written with great insight, respect and compassion.

We have to remember, as well, that children did not create this crisis. Adults created consumerism and they will have to work toward creating pragmatism and moderation in the area of consumables.
